Billy/Niccolo

3 min read
I have been having so many feels for this couple recently, and I've only found about two fan-fictions about them. So I wrote this. Also, if you don't like this pairing, don't read and then leave a nasty comment. :)

Billy&Niccolo (c) Michael Scott

"Billy, get this insufferable best off of me!" Machiavelli snapped and the young American immortal. He walked over and pulled the golden retriever off of his flat mate's lap, a slight blush forming on his face
"Mac, she ain't a beast, she's a dog, and her name is Lacy," Billy said, sitting on the floor by Niccolo's feet and rubbing the dog's belly and making weird baby noises. The Italian just rolled his eyes and continued to read the book until he felt a pressure against his leg and laughter from his companion
"Lace, stop, stop!" the American was trying to push the dog away from licking his face. Machiavelli pushed at the Kid's back with his foot gently. Billy looked up at Machiavelli and gave him a tooth grin, Lacy barking loudly. He turned his attention back to the dog "Shush, girl. Mac is reading." Niccolo pinched the ridge of his nose and set the book aside
"William, how many times will I have to tell you not to call me that?" his tone held annoyance as he glared down at the younger man. He shrugged his shoulders and pet his dog briskly before she hopped up on the couch and pulled Billy up by his collar forcefully.
"Lacey, what are you doing?" Billy asked as he carefully sat down on the couch next to the older immortal. The golden retriever nudged her head hard against her owner, knocking him into Machiavelli "No, bad dog!" the older man had moved himself away slightly from Billy, but he couldn't not admit he liked the feeling of their bodies being close like that. Lacey backed away and circled a place on the couch and looked at the pair with sad eyes. Billy rolled his eyes and turned to face his friend "Geez, I'm sorry, I don't know wha-"he was cut off by a quick kiss on his lips, both men blushing profoundly. Billy covered his one cheek and looked over towards his dog, who looked slightly more happy "Niccolo?..." the young immortal asked carefully.
"It was nothing. Just forget about it." Machiavelli had picked up his book again and was reading it, not paying attention to how Billy was now pressed close enough so he could hear his rapid heartbeat.
"Look at me," with a sigh, the Italian did what he was told, being greeted by a longer kiss this time. Billy wrapped his arm around Niccolo's neck and quickly slid into his lap. The older immortal found it surprising how light the younger was in his lap, and proceeded to place his hand on his hips. After sometime, the pair pulled apart and leaned their foreheads together, both smiling "Well, now that the tension is broken, as Virginia would've said." Billy joked lightly. Machiavelli rolled his eyes, but then bit his bottom lip.
   "Was it that obvious?"
"Supposedly…." Niccolo leaned back in and continued to kiss Billy the rest of the night. Never had he been so glad Billy got that dog.

Not as good as the last chapter, but it's okay. I couldn't remember everything that happened in the scene where Dee took Virgina to San Fran, but I hope it's okay...

The Alchemyst (c) Michael Scott

Sherlock and Victor (c) Sir Aurthur Conan-Doyle

Grey eyes locked on purple. Sherlock Holmes plucked at his violin as Virginia Dare twirled her flute
"So, Mr. Holmes, have you decided your answer yet?"  Dare asked calmly. Sherlock blinked after what seemed like an eternity.
"I'm afraid not, Miss Dare. You're on the same side as the man who tried to kill me" Sherlock gave a cold smile to the younger immortal, wisps of a black aura curling off of his skin protectively. Virginia sighed, looking at the floor and then back up at Sherlock
   "Yes, but John-"
"I've been over this with you. John and I are nothing alike. We never could be. This is why he had Moriarty join him" Virginia settled back into the couch, tapping the wooden flute against her lips thinking. John Dee had sent her to 221B Baker Street to try and convince Sherlock Holmes to join their side.  He had the rarest aura colour – black – which means he's more powerful. And Dee would do anything for power
"How's your John?" Virginia asked, knowing she would hit a nerve with that phrase. Sherlock stiffened slightly, his back becoming straighter
"In Dublin with his sister" Sherlock sighed
"Does he know?" she gestured to Holmes's aura curling off his skin. Sherlock shook his head. A cruel smile forms on Dare's lips as she thought of a few other people to name "Have you lost contact with a man by the name Victor Trevor?"
   "What did you do?"
"What did I do?" Virginia laughed, but it was icy and cold "You're asking the wrong person that question. What did Dee do, is what you want to ask" Sherlock closed his eyes and relaxed slightly, but concern was written all over his face
"Is he alright?" Holmes asked in a hoarse whisper
"Yes, he's fine. He talks about you…" The English man's eyes flew open, nostrils flaring "Is there something – "
"Mycroft" Sherlock spat, jumping up. He grabbed Virginia's arm, who let out a scream when he touched her "Shut up!"
"The last person who touched me without permission died!" Sherlock threw her into a room and shut and locked the door. Mycroft made his way up the stairs, the smell of smoke filling the room. He smiled at the sight of his younger brother, but the smile didn't quite reach his eyes. Mycroft's eyes scanned the flat, the smells of sage and plutonium filling most of the living area. A faint smile curled on his lips; it was obvious he was currently under the many spells of Virginia Dare. Sherlock looked over his shoulder at his older brother, a cold look on his face.
"I never asked you to come over, brother dearest" he snapped
"I merely invited myself" Mycroft rolled his shoulders back, twirling his umbrella in his hands
"Oh, so you are the queen now?" Mycroft glared at his brother. His hand shot out, grabbing Sherlock by the shoulder so Mycroft's lips were an inch away from his brother's ear
"I don't like her, or the side she is on. I could smell your aura's from the street. Dee is coming to London soon, so behave" a look of total look of fake disgust was on Sherlock's face at his brother's words
"John Dee. I cannot believe you!"
"You're with Virginia Dare!" Sherlock bared his teeth and shoved Mycroft away. He walked over to the closet and opened it up, helping the American Immortal out from the ground. Virginia dusted herself off and looked over the oldest Holmes carefully, before slightly turning her nose up at him. Mycroft's aura bloomed a sky blue, the smell of smoke mixing with Sherlock's and Virginia's. Both snapped their heads towards him as they were about to make their way out.
"Mycroft, I do not need a scene now." The young British man said shortly. Mycroft let his aura diminish from his skin, though still visible slightly around his shoulders.
   "Where are you going now?"
"To find Dee" Mycroft let out a short sigh as the two left arm in arm. He pulled his cell phone out and called the first man he could think of. The phone was answered on the third ring
"Sup, man?" the cocky voice came on the other side. Mycroft cringed slightly, but continued on
"Sherlock is on Dee's side. Unexpected because of James Moriarty's alliances" on the other end there was only silence. Mycroft raised his hand to his lips and bit his fingernails slightly
"I'll contact Flamel's" he said before he hung up.
"Oh, Tony" Mycroft whispered, leaving the flat

John Dee's face lit up at the pair walking down towards him. A smirk played at his lips as he remembered who the tall raven haired man was. Dee bowed deeply to Virginia Dare, eyes glittering when he bowed to Sherlock Holmes
"A pleasure, Mr. Holmes" he said curtly. Dee stretched his hand out, which Sherlock ignored
"Where is Victor?" Sherlock's eyes were cold, ice filled. Virginia pulled on his arm to warn him not to cross Dee (which he had done previous times, though those times are stories for another time). Dee smiled and whistled. Out of the shadows stepped a tall man, though slightly shorter that Sherlock. He was very thin, wavy red hair covering his head. He walked shyly next to the English immortal. Sherlock smiled
"Victor…" the man with red hair looked up, also smiling at Sherlock. Now that you could see his face, he had a goatee similar to Dee's.
"Sherlock, I'm sorry…" Victor apologized. Sherlock shook his head. He attempted to step forward, but Virginia held her grip on his arm so he couldn't move
"This isn't your fault…" Sherlock gave him a pained look. Victor walked up to Sherlock, out stretching his hand. Sherlock took it in his, and shook his head
"Our times at school are over… I wish I could say different –''
"Wasn't it Moriarty who said sentiment was a chemical found on the losing side?" Dee asked, interrupting the moment. Sherlock and Victor both shot Dee the same look before looking each other in the eyes again. Their hands slipped away from one another's, fingers lingering for longer than they should have. Virginia let go of Sherlock's arm, walking to stand next to John Dee. She crossed her arms over her chest. Dee cleared his throat "So, Sherlock, who else has joined our cause beside you and Mr. Trevor? Your brother, maybe?"
"No, he is still stubborn. Though I hear you attempted getting Tony Stark on our side, and it didn't go so well" Dee closed his eyes at the thought
"I tried. We could really use him though, Stark would've been perfect" Victor was the only one who laughed
"You honestly think that? Tony is only some billionaire with a flying suit. He can't help" he scoffed. Sherlock bit his lip and cast a glance at his old friend. He was playing dangerous cards, messing with Dee. The English immortal breathed deeply before looking around. A pair of thugs had shown up during their conversation, bald heads tattooed. Virginia tapped her flute to her palm before bringing it to her lips.
"You boys will need to cover your ears" they quickly covered them at she blew a long, almost inaudible high note. The thugs withered and fell to the ground, sleeping. Sherlock, curious as always, walked over to the humans and poked them with his foot
"What are they?" he asked quietly.
"Cutherbuths.  And there's more coming." John answered, pointing to an advancing group. Dare was about to play the note again when Dee's hand shot out to stop her "Let us see what they want" he warned quietly. Virginia made an upset noise and crossed her arms. The cutherbuths approached the small English man, the smallest of them standing the closest to the immortal.
"Those were my brothers!" he snapped. Dee waved his hand.
"They were quite ugly, so may I add" he chuckled slightly, but was cut off by a hand around his throat. He gaged and tried to pull it away, but he wasn't strong enough.
"John!" the American immortal called out. She went to help him, but one cutherbuth grabbed her arm and pulled her back. She kicked him in the stomach, causing him to double over and slacken his grip. Virginia was able to play the not again, making them all fall. Victor and Sherlock untangled themselves from under the beast that held them. They ran from the scene, darting down streets and alleyways. Soon enough, the came across a building, in the back that had a small pool of oil looking liquid. Virginia clasped her hands over her mouth.
"You are not making me go in there" she snapped at Dee. More of the cutherbuths were arriving and the short man grabbed her by the wrist.
"We have no choice!" he bulled a stone sword from under his coat and sliced it in the oil, creating a long dark gash.
"Exalibur…" Sherlock whispered in awe. He formed his aura into a spear and threw it at one of the on-coming attackers, impaling it in the stomach. The four quickly jumped in, and disappeared from London.

The Alchemyst (c) Mr. Scott

Finally married, Virginia Dare and Dr.  John Dee kissed as the priest said 'You may now kiss the bride'. It was a quiet wedding, Billy the Kid and Nicollo Machiavelli being the only two people there.  Later that night as the sun went down, the two immortals walked hand and hand down the beach, Virginia kicking at the waves as the traveled up shore and covered their ankles
   "John?" she asked quietly
"Yes, love?" John said, combing his steel grey hair out of his eyes
"Were you nervous?" John blinked at Virginia's question
   "Obviously."
They walked for a bit longer, stars coming out when they got back to John's beach house. The American immortal threw herself onto the couch while adjusting her white dress.
   "John!" Virginia called, sitting up
"Hm?"  He asked, standing in front of his wife. She held up her arms to the doctor, clearly tired
"Carry me to bed?" John picked her up bridal-style taking her up to the room they shared and placed her on their bed. Virginia was asleep as soon as she hit the pillow. John quietly climbed into bed with her, brushing her dark hair out of her face so he could study her expression. So calm, at peace than when she was awake, the British immortal thought. He smiled at how young the shadows from the moon's light made her look. John used the back of his hand to run against Virginia's cheek softly. Those were the best years of their lives
Until about seven years in. Trouble happened. They fought, screamed, and threatened each other. Dee moved to America while Dare stayed living in their home in London. Neither of them had taken off their wedding bands.
Virginia stood on the edge of Alcatraz Island, trying to hold back tears. She clutched her wedding band in her hand, remembering the happiest times of her life with the man she loved. She quickly stole a glance over her shoulder at John and the others, before she chucked her ring into the water. Virginia Dare never cried. She would've told Billy it was from the salt from the air, or her allergies, but she didn't
"Virginia?" he asked quietly from behind her.  The female American Immortal clutched onto Billy and wept silently, shaking. She pulled back, her eyes red-rimmed and she smiled weakly
"You are my only friend… Please join me, John, and Dee" Virginia begged. But Billy shook his head
"I can't… Machiavelli" Billy began, but Dare nodded, understanding
"You always do what is right." She kissed his cheek "Now leave me, I want to be alone" Billy nodded, turning and leaving. He wanted to stay with his friend, but it would be wrong to not listen to her. Nicollo started to ask what was wrong, but the Kid just shook his head. Virginia was heartbroken, because John was slowly losing his mind

"No," Tony Stark said, leaving the older couple in his doorway while he got a drink. Nicholas Flamel rushed in after him, forcefully spinning him around so they were face to face
"Don't you care? The world is going to end!" the elderly man snapped, the house suddenly smelling with mint. The billionaire laughed
"Never thought I'd have you two knocking on my door for help. Thought you had silver and gold, that's the buzz goin' around." Tony looked behind Nicholas and tilted his chin upward to Perenelle "Mistress Perenelle. Looking young and beautiful as ever," Perenelle wrinkled her nose at Tony
"I'm not in a good mood today, Mr. Stark. Watch your back," the sorceress smiled, but it didn't reach her eyes. A dark red flame erupted around Tony's body, the smell of diesel filling up the room
"And you will not threaten me, sorceress," an icy silence filled the room as Tony lowered his aura "Sorry, that wasn't necessary," he smirked, trailing the Flamels further into his house. As expected, the immortals weren't interested in anything Tony had. He led the couple into a room that looked as though it should've been a living room, but it was furnished lightly, a couch here, a loveseat there. Tony directed them to sit down on one of the couches across from where he sat, but the Flamels remained standing, crossing their arms across their chests simultaneously. Tony made a noise, and smirked at them
"Dee. I know what you want, that's what you're here to tell me? I'll let you know, he's already been here," his brows furrowed together as he studied Nicholas and Perenelle's expressions, which were cold and unreadable. Perenelle smiled once more, jabbing a thumb in the direction back behind her
"I can smell his stink all through here. And I do mean all through," Tony suddenly straightened a little bit and coughed
"Ended in a fight outside," Nicholas murmured, down casting his eyes to the coffee table. The billionaire paled slightly
"Alchemysts," he muttered, shaking his head "I'll join you, but why me? There's Holmes, could've gone to him."
Perenelle laughed, throwing her head back. Her long black hair and yellow sundress crackled with her aura
"He's stationed there with Watson, obviously. Sherlock is keeping an eye on Virginia Dare for us," Perenelle muttered
"Obviously. Oh, it's been too long sense the last time I've seen him…" Tony shook his head "Well, been a pleasure having you here. Bye!" Nicholas slammed his hands down on the glass table, turning it into delectate spider webs
"We're in danger! Come with us!" he begged
"Pft, come with you? Not a chance! Who else are you rounding up?"
   "Potter, Everdean-'' started Perenelle
"Scar head and a woman who sets fire to stuff-''
   "Percy Jackson, obviously the Winchesters-''
"Water boy and scary brothers that die so many times it isn't funny anymore-''
"You'll really like this one- Doctor Who," Tony craned his neck slightly
"We're bringing that nut job into this? Hahaha, no. He could end up killing us all, that Time Lord." Perenelle and Nicholas exchanged looks
"This really wasn't up to us…" Nicholas began. Tony raised a brow at him. He walked around the couple, while they remained completely still
"Who then, was it up to?" Just then, another person walked into the flat. She looked like she was about twenty, dark skinned with close-cropped white hair. Her eyes were the colour of butter, her dress black as night crackled with rainbow streaks as she walked. And every nail was a different colour "Hecate," he said in awe, starring at the woman. As the goddess made her way over, he bowed deeply, holding her hand in his. Tony kissed the back of her hand. Hecate yanked it away in disgust
"You sicken me, Tony Stark," she snapped, baring her small teeth at him. Tony smirked holding up his hands, his faint aura showing up like wisps of fog around his fingers
"You have no clue what I'm-'' he started before Nicholas cut him off
"Enough!" the alchemyst shouted the bitter scent of mint in the air "We are on the same side, fighting against Dee… Though, Stark we will need to know you have changed sides for good," Tony nodded
"Ask Pepper or Steve. They both know what I've done before…" Nicholas grunted and nodded at Tony
"You're really going to believe him?" Hecate snapped "Look what he's done in the past!"
"Then we shall leave it there," Perenelle said sharply. Again, an uncomfortable silence fell upon the immortals and Elder. Tony sat back down with his head in his hands, slightly shaken. And as soon as the events unveiled themselves in front of Tony, the Flamels were gone. Up and left without a word. Hecate followed them out. After the door was shut, Tony picked up his cellphone and dialed an impossibly long number
   "Flamels were here-'' he started
"What? What did they want?" a sour voice said on the other end
   "Help… Save the world,"
   "Why?"
"They have silver and gold" Tony said quietly. There was silence on the other end of the phone, and suddenly it clicked dead "Goodbye and have a nice day to you too" he muttered.
Meanwhile, in the Shadowrealm Asgard, Loki Laufeson was preparing to enter the humani world once more.
